PQM-1 is a new development aimed at making paper strength measurement as easy and as fast as possible. The PQM-1 uses XQi proprietary algorithms that allow estimates of CD and MD ring crush to be made from ultrasonic non-destructive measurements of extensional stiffness. For the majority of control and quality issues the PQM-1 is more than adequate for determining ring crush values of packaging papers.
